An elderly patient admitted to the emergency room for a heart problem sees a familiar face, a long-lost love (guest star Marion Ross) who happens to be in the emergency room and for a broken arm, and Staff caught up in their love story. Meanwhile, Karev treats a patient in need teenage Hayley (guest star Demi Lovato), whose parents brought her schizophrenia, and Meredith can not help saying to his suspicions about Cristina Owen – which inevitably messes with the head of Cristina.
